PRINCETOWN

Introduction
Between the western
boundary of the Otway National Park and the eastern boundary of the Port
Campbell National Park, Princetown is ideally suited for touring both.
Situated on the La Trobe Ck. near Gellibrand River, the surrounding
limestone cliffs contain interesting fossils and formations. Gemstones can
sometimes be found along the coastline, and the area is rich in flora and
fauna. Foxes, echidnas, wallabies and kangaroos can all be seen, and the
nearby Deer and Wildlife Park is well worth a visit.
Princetown was named after Prince Albert and was proclaimed in 1885.
