TENNANT CREEK

Introduction
Born of the
legends of the Aboriginal dreamtime and forged by the cattleman and
miners. This is Tennant Creek. This is Australia's Last Goldrush Town,
where the two great northern highways meet.
From a bustling goldrush town of 600 people in 1935 Tennant Creek has
grown to a landscaped and shady town. The regional centre for the "Barkly",
it has more facilities than you would imagine for a population of 3,800.
But it still has not lost its outback charm, or the friendliness of the
locals.
