BATEMANS BAY

Introduction

Situated at the mouth of the Clyde River, this is a favourite for the residents of the Capital (152km away). Although not the most interesting town in this region, it offers quite a lot to do. Accommodation at this resort consists mainly of motels and a wide range of holiday units. There are 8 caravan parks and  and cottage farm stays with horse-riding, canoeing and bushwalking are also available.

Attractions
Murramarang National Park: with campsites and in the area kangaroos can be seen frolcing on the beach.
Old Mogo Town Museum: an open air museum, a reconstruction of a mid 19th century goldrush town near an old gold mine. On Sundays a market is held and you can look around for free.
