HLUHLUWE UMFOLOZI PARK

INTRODUCTION
The Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserves are
joined by the Corridor Reserve and were established in April 1895, they were
recently combined and cover an area of 96 000 ha. It is the oldest park in
Africa and is the only park in Kwazulu-Natal which is home to the "Big
5". Game viewing starts virtually as you enter the gates and there is a
wide variety of animals and bird life to be seen. It is well-known for single
handedly saving the white rhino from extinction, and now boasts the largest
population of white rhino in South Africa.

Dumazulu Cultural
Village:
Tours, ethnic dancing shows, a crocodile
pool, snake pit and aviary are all available at this interesting village and is
sure to take you back in time.

Emdoneni Lodge:
A cheetah breeding Station where you may view these beautiful animals and their
offspring by appointment only.

False Bay Park:
It offers various activities but also has a fossil display as one of its main
attractions.
